Yeah, spring is a lot easier when you can get all that stuff done in the fall.
Better for the plants as well!
I've been trying to populate with spring flowering bulbs in the between spots and having the ground bare is step one.

I've laid in a few bags of bloodmeal, super phosphate, sulphur and bonemeal.

Best long-lasting soil builders you can use, but they need go down below the roots at planting.

I don't priss around with them. I dig a foot deep, foot wide or more hole and put a whole bag of bulbs in one spot with a decent amount of organic fertilizer dug in below, cover them with peat and mulch. Done.
Makes a statement first season and just gets bigger.

Charcoal is lit. Tomorrow I think I'm going to grill wings for the game. Bought a 4 lb. bag at Aldi yesterday.
Kroger had breast tenders, which are cut from the pullets too young to have those big plump breasts they advertise.
About a buck a pound, I bought twenty pounds.

I have 5lbs marinating for the firepit tonight. The rest went straight to the freezer.

Also 2lbs of sabanitas, but completely different marinade. Sabanitas are thin sliced beef skirts.
