How about one of these bad boys?
There might be some ice on the sidewalk on your way out.
Gotta holster for that? Will that be OC or CC?

Just saving this for posterity. Something tells me the time will come when you will contradict your standards here.Routinely? Doubtful but I'm not really concerned with backwards "other," societies.

It's not your position on the affairs of backward, "other" societies where I think you will fall.Good luck with that, I don't concern myself with foreign standards and their application on domestic issues.

If the rifle is slung properly and they are not handling it, I don't care.
Let's list stuff that people wouldn't carry into a McDonalds.
Is this thread still open? I would like to comment in it.
Just because something is legal does not mean it's smart. The fact of the matter is you could have protected yourself and everyone else in that restaurant from danger while carrying concealed.
All this stuff is going to do is get a ban pushed through. Society is on the fence, and as much as I hate it there are more liberals than true conservatives right now in this county. Stunts like this will push the fence riders over the edge, and not in our direction.
There is a big difference between legal and socially acceptable. If we keep doing things that are socially unacceptable to the voting public they will become illegal. That's just the way it works.
Will this post get it to 106 pages?
Just because you disagree with something, does NOT mean it's not smart. The fact of the matter is, he COULD have protected himself and everyone else in that restaurant while carrying just the way he was. The fact that you failed to read the ENTIRE thread and failed to realize that he does NOT own a handgun means that you need to rethink your argument. Have you tried to conceal an AR? It's not easy. By the way, I open carry. Does this mean I'm not smart?Just because something is legal does not mean it's smart. All this stuff likely will not get a ban pushed through. In case you haven't noticed, Indiana is headed the opposite direction that you apparent hoplophobes are arguing. Yeah, I said it. You guys act like you're afraid to see someone else with a firearm. Especially one bigger than yours. Or someone that is not afraid to push the envelope a little bit and NOT conceal. We don't need conservatives, we don't need liberals. We need people who are NOT afraid to stand up and address the issues at hand. Send letters and let them know your stance. They listen. All this stuff is going to do is get a ban pushed through. Society is on the fence, and as much as I hate it there are more liberals than true conservatives right now in this county. There is a big difference between legal, socially acceptable, and "I'm going to tell you that it's wrong because I won't do it." If we keep letting society dictate what we do, we will lose our rights one by one. First, they don't agree with your guns. Bye bye. Then they don't agree with you speaking out. Bye bye. Then they don't like your religion. See where I'm going with this? You are letting society dictate what you do, and that's not the way it should be.There is a big difference between legal and socially acceptable. Perhaps if you'd been quicker.
Is the OP the only one who knows anyone that's actually carried their rifle through a restaurant meal?
I mean, separate from the Starbucks day that got us asked to leave our guns outside.
Love ya, man...
BUT,
I feel compelled to reiterate my feelings on the matter.
People strapping on AR's and AK's and eating in restaurants to make a point will only have a long term result in laws being passed that further limit our freedoms.
IMHO
