    You're right.

It's one thing to give fire and brimstone speeches, apologetic speeches, concilitory gestures, etc. It's another thing to do something about it. To solve any problem, you must first recoginize it and accept that you must address it. We are at war with radical islam. They hate us for any number of reasons, but the main one is that we are not radical islamists. We must accept that no amount of political correctness, placation, mollifying is going to change their minds. Therefore, we must teach them that to punch us in the face, means they're going to get punched back--only harder.

Then we should stop supporting the deposing of one dictator in favor of the next despotic regime, even when they wrap themselves in the disguise of democracy.

I'm not saying turn them into a glass parking lot, but we have the technology, the talent, and the manpower to make them sorry--I'm just not sure we have the will-power.

I would rep you but I can't, :+1: Right on the money.

Or if the Libyan government has the will and resources, let them do it, and see if the outcome is different from Lockerbie.

One thing radicals and militants have succeeded in doing is impeding any useful dialogue, whether in Teheran, Baghdad or Kabul. As much as it's tempting to hope that there could be a satisfactory conclusion, recent experience would seem to suggest this won't turn out well for moderate Libyans.

Well, just like us over here, if they don't get up off their butts and do something to get control of their country, they'll have to live with the consequences of not doing so. It's exactly the same thing as *****ing about the current or past Administrations or the Government in general, but then not going out to vote.
