I disagree. There should be no busses. Parents should have to use their own gas money to drop and pick up their crotch goblins. Tax money should not be used to transport crotch goblins and interrupt the flow of traffic.
Some families do pay fees for busses. There are some that even pay all of the cost.

What makes you think that instead of 60 kids on a bus having the cars needed to transport those kids on the road would result in less congestion?

As written on INGO many times, some people voted for this. Quit whining. What are YOU doing to change this evil you have to endure?

Can you show me a family that pay bus fee's or cover all of the cost?

You are assuming that parents would not choose to carpool their kids, but those cars pull into driveways they don't stop on the road for a minute. At least where I live.

What makes you think I am whining? Have you failed to see that if no one posts a counter opinion, it might not make people think the change is needed. Or do you simply subscribe to the communist/socialist line of thought that just because the majority vote to take my money and spend it on other people's children, that is right?

    :(

    Ouch this one hits hard.
She was NOT on her phone.
She was NOT wearing her earbuds.
Sadly she got off the train and followed the rest of the crowd like a lemmine across the railroad track to get to her car and BOOM!! the train hit her and she went flying 50 ft.

The South Shore did not sound it's horn nor did it slow down as it was most likely an express not stopping at the station

    Qoute from article

“It’s such a safety issue, this is 2024,” Bentkowski said. “I don’t understand why there isn’t ‘stop, look, listen’ safety signs — it makes no sense. She was thrown 50 feet.”

But would she or most others have read the sign and looked both ways? Why does there have to be a warning for everything. You're crossing railroad tracks for ****s sake. You're not gonna stop and look to make sure it's clear... :dunno: I do feel bad for the family but seems more like Darwin Award to me in this case

A sign would not have helped.
Saldy she let her guard down having crossed those tracks too often without looking.

At the EC station when the express train is coming to the station and pass it as it won't stop there is an audible announcement to stand behind the yellow line as a train is coming.

Unsure if the hedgwish station has this. The original hammond one does as thus the Gary one.

So I got one of those USB Wi-Fi adapters for my computer (I have a high end workstation motherboard, so it is ethernet only, no Wi-Fi). Used it with my phone as a hot-spot to pay bills, and yeah still have to go with Starlink. Took me over ten minutes to order trash service as it took a minute to load each page. Not only that, but the connection became unreliable after 20 minutes and kept disconnecting. At least I got my bills paid and my trash service set up, but just as I thought this won't be a permanent solution.
