Actaeon, looking at the base systems right now.

    Trying to decide between this
Thule 480 Traverse Roof Rack - Complete System for Cars & Trucks Without Factory Rack, Gutters, Side Rails etc.
    or this
Inno IN-SU Roof Rack System (Black) | Inno Car Rack for Naked / Smooth RoofTops

Then I am looking at something like this
Thule 615 Pulse XL Roof Box (Matte Black) - 16 cu/ft Value-Priced Roof Rack Mount Cargo Container
    or possibly one of these
SUPER SALE Thule 91725 Universal Flat Top Ski Rack & Snowboard Rack for up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards
Thule Snowboard Racks - Thule 575 Snowboard Rack for Carrying 2 Snowboards on any Car Roof Rack

Maybe one day get a bike carrier as well, although I already have a Saris that attaches to the trunk/bumper that works pretty well.

Main purpose right now is to carry my slalom ski and a couple wake boards in the summer to the lake. Possibly carry luggage or baby/kid stuff on trip as well. Its an expensive investment so I'm trying to research as best I can before I spend the money.

First, do you have a luggage rack?
Some attach to it, some are made to go to a car top with no roof.

Next, those look kinda specific function built.
    I could be wrong.
With a cargo rack, anything goes.
With a ski/bike rack, you're limited to what it's made for.

You (or bramedic) are welcome to look at it.

The hard cover one is nice to keepmthings outta the rain. But limited on size of items. And they kill the mpg.

And I've seen a few on the side of the road, peope didn't anchor the well. ALWAYS anchor them well.
    ALWAYS tie the load.

Anyone of you yahoos that signed up for the Lake Village Appleseed that got cancelled want to try and make the Appleseed in Brazil? Supposedly there were two last second sign-ups the day it was cancelled. If so, PM me.

I am going to try and make this shoot as an instructor. If I can make it, I will provide a ride to and from the shoot for FREE. I can even provide camping equipment ... for FREE. Let's up the ante a little ... I will loan you a 10/22 and GIVE you the ammo for the weekend for ... FREE!

    Anyone?

Damn it WD, if you make that offer any more tempting, my gf is gonna kick my ass when I miss her cousins wedding this weekend. I have been dying to do an appleseed, I even got the new Ruger 10/22 Contest Winner just for it.

Actaeon, I think it's all you for sure.... You should give her a nice home....

If I didn't have my 65 4 inch police trade in I would probably get it.... That and I'm on the prowl for a M92 Lever gun in 357 with a 24 inch barrel right now...

On other news, I learned something tonight.... Don't put your hands behind the transmitter at a radio station to reconnect their board to the internet without thoroughly looking behind it beforehand... cause when the electricity makes contact it hurts like a mother............... Luckily the cement floor broke my fall and must have grounded me so that I can sit here in front of the computer tonight.... I can't seem to get the radio station out of my ears though.... hhhhhmmmm.

Um better be careful there GB. Or there won't be a GB ranch.

That model 19 would be a nice brother to the one I have.
But I have a laptop bought 5 Sep still in the box, Comcast boxes still neeed to be activated, and I'm pretty sure I need to pull an all niter to get this newsletter done and finance books caught up.
    No time for toys.
