My 3800 watt propane fired generator does just fine. The very few times we've been without power for more than a couple hours, I've used it to keep my freezers and fridge cold. Because it produces a modified sine wave, I do not plug it into anything electronic.

Emergency US 30 closure tonight from 10pm until tomorrow at 10am. Could run longer

Storm damage to the power lines and traffic signals. Nipsco has to fix the lines and then INDOT has to replace the lights.

I just saw this. I can't believe they will have all of that shutdown that long. What a disaster that is going to be.

I didn't have to use my little honda 2K this time but it will get used all day long on my upcoming photo shoot as the location doesn't have electricity...
