I don't think the 3-11's is anyone's favorite shift to work.

11-7 is the worst i usually go to bed around 4pm and get up at 955pm to be at work by 1030.....and yes Larry its a blast

For 14 years I worked 8:00 P.M. to 4:30 A.M. driving truck in Gary and seeing all the lot lizard's on 5th Ave / RT20 my way home.

The old shop was across from Motel Interlude in Miller.

Luckily I don't have that problem in our yard. Though sometimes having to drive to pine yard over by Gary airport its gets sketchy at 2am and your alone on 12 in a company truck defenseless.

Is the Adult Book Store open 24/7 on RT 12 and Clark RD? Where is the pine yard at? Worked last year at kirk yard for all the new track bed by the railroad bridge.

Pine is right by the airport as you come past the stoplight before the airport starts heading west on 12 there is an adult book store or some crud make a right follow down and bam your there.

Not a great place in the daytime. Same general area where I was working and spent a lot of time waiting for trains to pass the crossings.

Yeah I dread getting a call out to miller siding or out to pine yard for a train in emergency. Usually I end up having to walk a quater to half a mile with the conductor to find the car. I have been pretty good at carrying at least a knife in case some bozo wants to try something or mess with us.
