She's already an American beauty, DS !
    Thank you.

I got an email from Dack Outdoors about sending my $238 Browning Black Label 1911 380acp. They wanted to get my FFL 's information to send it. So it looks like they are going to honor that price.
Probably one of the best deals I've gotten in a long time.

Guess that I'd better hit the sack. My eye appointment is tomorrow, and I don't want to be grumpy (from lack of sleep), as my wife is taking-off work to drive me.
I've found that depth perception is hard with one eye on the fritz. If I reach for something small on the side table (like a Werther's mint), my thumb and forefinger will often miss the mark by 1/3".

Like my friend, 88' said, the brain will help fill-in the missing parts of vision. However, I don't think that all the neuron pathways are open, and firiing.
It seems as if depth perception and field of view are definitely affected.

Ah well, while seeking darkened rooms lately, I've had time to play a fair amount of guitar. I've been chasing this rather dark chord progression.
If I go blind, they'll probably call me one of those cool nicknames they call Jazz playing guitarists, like Blind Lemon Baby , or similar :D

    Hope they get that fixed.

Prayers for eyeballs this morning! Hope everyone's surgeon has steady hands and keen eyes. Sitting on the porch trying to snipe one of those little bastard piney squirrels. Only seen two in all my years here and I killed the last one first time I saw him. Destructive little things. Hummers around my head, Carolina wren almost in my lap, rabbit watching me from about 20' near the forsythia. Got up at 0730 and made coffee and an omelet with a bagel and fried all the bacon in the fridge. Barb isn't up yet but I expect the call to fix breakfast pretty soon. Wishes for a good day for all.

Wanted to drop this link because I think some of you might find it interesting: https://www.in.gov/library/collections-and-services/isdc/

That's a resource from the Indiana state library called Indiana State Data Center that gives you access to all Indiana GOV statistics, and Federal statistics.

I'm currently building a site website for the Indiana State Library and I'm going through some of their resources to add to the site, and this one caught my attention. I also looked at the CDC leading cause of death for ages 1-44, and about 42%, or a little less than 71k, of deaths in the 2022 were due to "Unintentional Poisoning" which they mainly classify as drug overdoses.

Super random but it tickled my noggin and thought I'd share the resource!
