BillB quiet now us technical guys need to keep our jobs.....

man at 4 bucks a gallon that trip to work is real expensive actaeon... Too cold to just shut your vehicle off...
I forgot, it's an extreme union environment. They have to have an electrician turn on the lights in the office and a material handling specialist empty the trash can into a hopper so that an operating engineer can use a forklift to dump it into a dumpster so that a teamster can haul it away. Can an electronics tech turn on his own lights?

Heard it on the radio, saw it online, got the t-shirt. :)
I'm going to have to post in Snapdragon's road rage thread.

I make enough that it's worth it. But I did think about going home. I'd still have 40 hours.
I did shut the car off. Almost F'd up. My battery needs to be replaced. Listened to radio, maybe half an hour. Car barely turned over when i needed heat.

Service stations are going to make a lot on people who have run out of gas when this is over. I sat through an accident similar to this on I65 once... sat for 3 hours in 10 degrees. When traffic started moving, there were dozens of cars stranded because they had run out of gas.
2 vehicles either broke down or ran empty. I just fueled yesterday. I don't go below quarter, and in the winter try to stay above half.
You never know when you'll be stuck.

I guess a lot of people don't believe in keeping the tank full when traveling on the expressways especially in the winter months.

That applies to people that don't prepare their house also.

What, they can't turn them on themselves? It's not too hard, just turn the knob.

Radios are on a system similiar to bluetooth. Better range than bluetooth, but less than standard radio. Firecom radios.
But, our system can only have 16 radios sync'd. We have around 32 radios. So my shift starts an hour before theirs to get caught up. Then I go downstairs and wait for them to come in. Sync them as they get their stuff ready.

3.5 hours. Only one lane opened.

Have your written your state senator today?

SB45 would add an 8 hour training requirement to the LTCH.
    My letter to Senator Mrvan:
    Senator;
I am writing to express my opposition to SB 45 which would require all new applicants for a handgun license to undergo 8 hours of training.
There is no need to add expense and bureaucratic layers to process already in place. I believe that this bill is a solution in search of a problem. What percentage of handgun incidents in Indiana involve citizens with a License to Carry a Handgun? I suspect it is very low. Is the incidence rate lower in states with a training requirement? I think not. Not to mention that it would violate Sec. 32 of the state Constitution by adding a financial burden to people that wish to exercise their rights. This amounts to the same thing as a poll tax, and we both know that poll taxes are illegal.
