It was a bull barrel.

Bull barrels also flex and move with harmonic vibration. They just do so to a lesser degree.

I am sad, I stopped by Cash Indiana pawn in lake station (the last one that shows an FFL) and they only sell on gun broker now. That means no more $125 mossberg 500's. Now I have to deal with every idiot on the internet who is willing to pay too much for a gun. Case in point, the beat up mossberg 500 with scratched receiver, cracked stock, slight rust and slightly damaged muzzle that still went for over $200 after shipping. I was really hoping to pick up a couple more 500's for $125-150.
