Yes wd there is method to this madness. =)
Perhpas we can cry its not fair we don't have a range instead of having winamac get a pistol range.

In another universe your argument might hold water but you are forgetting one thing ... you are talking about an area that continues to re-elect Visclosky ... (dems/liberals/progressives). They don't want a nasty old, dangerous, evil gun range. Think of the children!

In another universe your argument might hold water but you are forgetting one thing ... you are talking about an area that continues to re-elect Visclosky ... (dems/liberals/progressives). They don't want a nasty old, dangerous, evil gun range. Think of the children!

Trully you can't think.

1) think of the construction contractor some union might like it
2) vis has nothing to do with it he is federal
3) think of the jobs created (rep: I brought xyz jobs to the region)
4) our reps think in terms of money NOT in lake. We are giving away our taxes and not getting them back.

You really need to hang in lake county politics more. I think it would be easier to go this route than try to get winamac fixed.

I would love to set up a range here in Lake County. A lot of people here that would like something closer.
Indoor/outdoor.
Outdoor setup for 3 gun or IDPA type of shooting.
Now, if I only had the money, and the balls to quit my job.

39 degrees, fog, freezing rain, puddle covered muddy ground to lay in...

and my rifle and multiple targets at 500, 700, and 1000 yards....

Pay dirt....

What guarantee do you have that a union contractor will get the job?

Seriously ... as a taxpayer, do you want this going to a union contractor?

Federal/state/local ... doesn't matter. All reps still answerr to the area voters.

Just how many jobs do you expect to create and how long will these jobs be around? People only remember what you did for them last minute ... not yesterday.
