I hope Jedi doesn't confuse a devolving language form (thug-speak, texting, etc.) with an evolving/developing language. Actaeon has hit the nail on the head. When people stop understanding what you write, you have ceased communicating.

Honestly, I'm glad Melensdad is here to crack the whip. If you are correct, we'll (Melensdad) be sitting around talking in secret code (proper English) while the thugs run around mumbling jibberish in a few years.

    From Blade Runner:
The charmer's name was Gaff, I'd seen him around. Bryant must have upped him to the Blade Runner unit. That gibberish he talked was city speak, gutter talk. A mishmash of Japanese, Spanish, German, what have you. I didn't really need a translator, I knew the lingo, every good cop did. But I wasn't going to make it easier for him

When I used to own a reasonably large business the one defining factor that separated winners from losers was language. Assuming people of equal skill and intellegence, guess who got promotions? People who spoke and wrote better than those who didn't. Skin color, sex, disability or other "visual" cues like tattoos were always second to language. With language you could prove your worth to anyone, even a bigot who tried to hold you back.

    Its still true today.

I think there may be something to this end of the world in 2012 thing. Had an appointment for Comcast to install cable and internet between 8 and 9. Well they showed up at 745. I'm flabbergasted.

I'll probably be hitting the range thursday morning. Can't wait to see the remodel.

Goober saw it last night, and I thought he was impressed. I opened up one of the sides for him and took him downrange to see all that had been done. It is really nice. And we sell all the brass we collect to precision, and pass the savins on the reloads to our customers. And we do lead collection as well and sell that, so that also allows us to pass more savings on to our customers.

What are the prices for the range? I haven't been out there in a year or so.

What were you on before internet-wise?

Had ATT a long time ago. But I haven't had home internet in years. Use my smart phone for everything. But now I'm getting ready to start some online schooling so bought a laptop and iPad then home internet. All that's left is enrolling in an institution of higher learning.

The little I've used it was pretty good. But I have the modem by the tv and I have to pick up a wireless router before I use it enough to know if I like it.

realistically as long as you don't go to the range on the weekend it is 12 bucks and you can shoot from 9am to 8pm. but officially it is 12 bucks an hour. I try and give the INGO members who see me a better deal though.

Ok, that's what I remembered. Hourly rate, but as long as people aren't waiting stay as long as you want. Thanks.
