Ok, not directly, got it. But Congress subsidizes the USPS with billions of dollars every year. Where does that money come from?

I battled with Gary usps (46408) for 3 years. and got them to answer the phone maybe 4 times. All of which were terrible experiences.
One time I was on hold (set down on counter) long enough to drive there and talk to them in person.

I was 46408 also. I did it mostly through email via the website and the postmaster called ME. I guess maybe because there's a digital "paper" trail?

You might be on to something there. I’ll keep that in mind. I’m in Hobart now and have had 0 issues

The USPS is embedded in our culture and many Americans still depend on it. It is the only service of its kind that will still deliver practically anywhere. It would be politically impossible to abolish it. Heck, I would probably miss it too.
