Trans in the 97 k1500 on the way back from midway was slamming 1-2... new phenomenon for an otherwise rock solid truck with 200k on the clock. Guess jumping on 294 off cicero and jamming up to 95 for a while wasn't helpful. Any chevy guys out there? i'm going to drop the pan this weekend and look at the 1-2 acutuator and see if it shows signs of wobble or distress or whatever...

last year when me and 2 friends were about ready to take off on the circle tour around lake Michigan, he noticed oil dripping from under his turbod scion. he freaked out and said theres no way he could make it, popped the hood and his oil cap was off.. lol

Sounds like fun ballstater. I checked out a mosin at cabelas the other day on the rack that was covered pretty bad. The entire barrel was filled from chamber to crown. Was unable to inspect bore. Dude said they got a crate in and all rifles covered, they just wiped off outside and put on rack.

Which model mosin, sks and mouser did you score again?

I prepped the stocks to let the sun sweat out the cosmoline, but the weather man has cooler temps on the horizon. Sounds like the heat gun and I will be having a lot of quality time. Maybe I should just have actaeon take them to the mill for a sweat session.

Unsure. When I took off the butt pad there were clumps of dirt that surrounded the trap door.

Right on. I'm on the fence about ordering an unissued yugo right now. Would really like to have one for the collection but also I would like a Russian. If I don't get a Russian by next weekend at the gun show I may order the yugo. Still debating.
