Went to work early yesterday and ended up changing 106 brake shoes from 6pm till around 3am in the rain. Good times.

Look on the bright side...they're composite and not cast iron. I used to spend Tuesday evenings doing brake shoes on the switchers and the hump units at Proviso. It was nothing to do 40-50 cast iron shoes in a night. I'll gladly do 100 composite shoes before doing cast iron again!

I was wondering why he was doing them at night in the rain.
    Railroad brakes.
    Makes sense now.

And this stuff isn't work? I hate that ****. Digging trenches, getting it in straight, having it heave out after the first winter.

Hasn't 90 on the way in been bad anyway?

I cut a cable to length the other day to find out that there were no strips on the white wires. Luckily the twisted pairs were individually shielded so I was able to tell which one was what.

You hardware guys are nerds. Those of us on the project management side of software dev always look way cooler to clients.

Now back to your tasks, monkey. I'll bring by Doritos and mountain dew later.
