I have a bunch of TP-Link Kasa security cameras around my house and they might be the best value to quality ratio you can get in a wired security camera. I even have one for each of my critter enclosures.

*I also recognize that most of you probably wouldn't be willing to put Chink made security cameras all around your house but I only put them in areas that I couldn't care less if Chairman Xi himself was watching.
What mamory cards do you use?

I used to have the Nooie cameras from Amazon around the house and they were decent enough (also Chinese) but then I got the little square Kasa camera to put in my snake enclosure I was impressed with the clarity so I replaced all those Nooies and it's a big difference. The app is also better and I like to being able to switch them into night (infrared) mode at any time which is especially useful on the indoor ones.

The outdoor ones have samsungs but the rest are PNYs or SanDisks. All of them are 128gb minimum

Every one I have in the security cameras is a repurposed card that used to be for my photo cameras but those both have high speed half terabyte cards in them now and I'll delete stuff or transfer to the computer before I ever need to switch to another card.

I've got blinks, and they are not quite as clear or as quick to respond, but I've got ~$500 invested, so I'll keep them a couple more years and then get a new system.

Might go Sunday but with the Porter county show next weekend i may hold out for that one
Oh crap, forgot. Have to do Sunday because Porter's Perfect Pint Fest is Saturday. Have to support the Porter Volunteer Fire Department and the parks department by sampling craft brews.

By the way, Amazon did me dirty with my blinks. The big differentiator between blink and the other systems was that I could monitor the cameras with my Alexa Echo Show units. I don't always have my phone on me. For the first couple of years, whatever room I was in, I could say "Alexa, show me the front door" and I would see the front door camera feed. When there was movement, Alexa would say "Motion detected at the garage" and then she would show me what triggered the garage camera. Some time last year, they actually removed these features after the fact from all of the blink cameras that had been sold. Now I HAVE to use my phone. I don't know how they could get away with changing the functionality after it was purchased.

Edited to add: Amazon must have changed it, because now I can view the cameras through the Alexa units. I had given up trying a long time ago.

CFB tomorrow. Grocery shopping early. Home by 11am and binge watch all day.

Picked up a projector and 120" screen so I'm not stuck indoors all day when it's nice out. Getting it dialed in tonight around a fire
