"What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms." - Thomas Jefferson

Appreciate the sentiment, but it really doesn't help when people on "our" side don't use the correct terminology.

    From the article:
"Those laws will have zero impact on Virginia's criminals and a heavy impact on Virginia's law-abiding citizens who own, or intend to own, automatic weapons for hunting or their protection."

That sounds just like the ill-informed anti's language. Pretty sure nobody in Virginia is wanting to hunt with machine guns.

Somehow, I thought that the mention of government officials suggesting the use of the national guard and the arrest of police officers to be a bit more relevant than a mistake in verbiage regarding weapon nomenclature.

Right, no argument there. I'm just saying that a little more judicious editing might have been in order. You know how critical INGO is when the antis use terminology that shows their glaring lack of understanding when it comes to firearms (30 clip magazines, shoulder things that go up, etc.). We don't need to give them any more incorrect "ammo" so to speak. Because you know some anti is going to read that and think or say, "See?? These gun nuts want to use machine guns to hunt and protect their homes! These people are crazy!" I know it's nit-picky, but when dealing with those that are uninformed about everything gun-related, I think our side needs to be careful with our wording, that's all.

    This quote caught my eye:

James Madison, in Federalist Paper No. 46 wrote that the Constitution preserves "the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation ... (where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."

Trump should use this quote during a special ceremony.

More food-for-thought for snowflakes and leftist tyrants courtesy of Alexander Hamilton (Federalist papers #28):

"If the representatives of the people betray their constituents, then there is no resource left but in the exertion of that original right of self-defense which is paramount to all positive forms of government...The obstacles to usurpation and the facilities of resistance increase...provided the citizens understand their rights and are disposed to defend them."

Yep. If the sheriffs of the 87 sanctuary counties are serious about stopping this governor and legislature, they would round up a coalition of armed citizens and show up at the state house to prevent lawmakers from entering or show up at Northam's office and take him into custody.

Their jurisdiction stops at the county line. Still, deputizing every qualified citizen in the county with orders to prevent gun confiscation, will be a crow-bar in the spokes of northram's agenda
