Watching the NBC coverage. Talking head legal expert says Mueller was guided by DOJ regs saying he couldn't prosecute sitting president, so that is why he said no collusion. Pete Williams, no, that isn't what it says...

There goes one of the Left's hopes for another conspiracy/obstruction/coverup angle.

    icon_smile_big.gif

    That won't stop anyone.

They've been pushing the alternative angle of discrediting anyone involved with the investigation, so they can continue to repeat the collusion/obstruction nonsense. Permanent distraction.

Apologies, I was thinking in an honest and logical frame of mind - the left will never give up on their fabricated idea.

So he tried to take over the Russia probe nearly a dozen times. He tried multiple avenues to get Mueller fired, and even said it would be the end of his Presidency. But somehow that’s not obstruction?

End of his presidency can mean more than one thing. In context I read it as the end of accomplishing what he wanted to do during his presidency.

How many years would you graciously tolerate having every aspect of your life and the lives of every one you contact in person scrutinized ostensibly searching for crime you know for a fact didn't happen and in reality searching for anything they can pin on anyone, all founded on alleged probable cause that your political enemies pulled out from up their asses?

    meh.
It doesn't matter what the report reveals or doesn't reveal.
Every Democrat and 6 of 7 networks are completely convinced Trump is guilty.
They will chant it 24/7/365 until the simple minded believe it.
Just as Hitler convinced enough Germans the Jews were the cause of their problems, so the Leftists/Socialists claim all evil is Trump's fault.
    Facts are just a distraction.

THIS^^^. How long would it take you to conclude the FBI was politicized, when Comey would tell you in private that you were not a subject of the investigation, but would not say so publicly and thus leave your presidency twisting in the wind and without viable recourse. I admire Trump's faith that the system, even as rigged, might return the verdict he knew in his heart to be true and thus stay his hand. Any one of us would be tempted to use the power we were elected to to right what clearly was a wrong. A man like Trump doesn't normally just sit back and take it, any one of us would surely be tempted and I'm glad he resisted or was convinced to let things run their course

And what isn’t Trump’s fault, is the fault of the NRA and its members.

He could have outright fired Mueller (which i would have done), and no thats not obstruction.
He was innocent anyways and knew it but we all know that doesnt mean crap in this country anymore. You are guilty in the court of public opinion and you get treated like you are proving innocence in court instead of them trying to prove you are guilty. The judges and prosecutors have too buddy buddy of a relationship in my opinion too many cases.
Its like how the republicans went after clinton for whitewater and couldbt get him so they got him on obstruction. It was bull **** then even with prosecutable evidence and its still bs now with no evidence and not prosecutable.

As far as the end of my presidency comment. I was in his corner the whole time but was worried the same thing because of the nut jobs on the left. They tried to run a coupe on the president at the highest levels

If a U.S. citizen becomes a target of a foreign agents and the FBI, CIA, DIA or whoever becomes aware of the attempt and the citizen is not conspiring. The citizen is normally due a counter intelligence briefing to make them aware of the attempt from a foreign agent and offer them a chance to work with the U.S. to gather more information on the foreign agents.

So President DJT was not afforded the same treatment that a normal citizen?

The ball is in the Democrats court they have the report it’s complete the Democrats should go ahead with impeachment or shut up and move on.

    BTW
CNN and MSNBC are not even making sense they are just talking words. I have watched them since about 9AM CST they are not even organized in the attack it’s just random President DJT is bad. No mention about how they reported rumors and out right lies for the past two years.

I’m not nearly as concerned about my political team winning as I am the very real possibility of the kind of tyranny for which this country was founded to guard against. If a US President was using his power to disrupt investigations into possible criminal activity, that’s very bad. There are things in that report that tend to clear him, and a lot of things that seem to say “well it looks like this happened but we just can’t jump the legal hurdles to move forward.” Ultimately, the investigation is clearing him of charges and that’s the way the system is supposed to work. I just think we need to be careful not to let our support of the home team make us accept everything we like to hear.

Can we at least investigate the opposing team? We know for a FACT that the DNC and Clinton campaign colluded with Steele to create a fake dossier in order to get the fraudulent FISA warrant, but nothing has been done about that. There was admitted collusion with a foreign national (Steele) to affect the election. Why is it only suspicious if one thinks a Republican did it (and as it turned out that was false), but NOT suspicious or illegal for the Democrats to do it? One side played by the rules, and the other admittedly didn't, and yet, not a peep out of the DOJ (and since it was still Obama's DOJ that was complicit, I guess that shouldn't surprise me).

If I were Trump, I'd have every one of them investigated intensively from now until after the 2020 election, and maybe even beyond. Subpoena every last one of them, put them under public scrutiny under oath. Show the American citizens who the real criminals are and if found guilty, sentence them to the maximum that the law will allow.
