What's qouting them got to do with "hating christians"? You're seriously going to pull that card? If that's your best you can retire now.

When one continuously speaks disparagingly about those to whom their faith and its teachings are important, what are we supposed to think. It's the standard you hold those hateful, bigoted Christians to, so should it not apply to you as well?

I think you're wrong on that one. I've spoken disparagingly of my brother more than once, and I have to admit I do still love my brother.

What's disparaging about quoting their own words? They said what they said, not me.

This definitely ruined his national image. I bet a majority of Americans had no idea who he was before Thursday. Even if he did try to run, I'd imagine the other GOP candidates would bring up the abysmal handling of the bill during debate.

Not Ted Cruz. He'd probably hug him and swap some spit.

We run around freaking out about the word "discrimination" as if we don't all discriminate every day.

Not all people have a right to my services. I can choose my clients and have rejected cases based upon my personal, religious, beliefs. Why should the government be allowed to force me to provide my services to a client whose cause I do not believe in based upon my religious beliefs?

Right now, there is no such law and all the RFRA does is provide a means to challenge any such law that may be passed. If the government should make such a law and it does not substantially impair my freedom of religion or it is narrowly tailored to address a compelling state interest, the law will be upheld. If the government makes a law that substantially impairs my ability to freely practice my religion and it is not narrowly tailored to address a compelling state interest, I can assert the law as a defense to a lawsuit or enforcement action. A powerful PR machine is the only reason this is even an issue....and oh yes, anti-religious bigots. That street runs two ways.

this is the best thing i have read all day about this SB-101 crap.........very well put sir!!!!!

Obama should step down if any elected person in this country does. I support pence and it is not discrimination it is forcing your opinion on someone else if you want to FORCE a private business to provide a service. THAT is socialism-not discrimination

You can hardly say that you are forcing let's say a florist to sell flowers for instance. That is what they chose to be in business for. If you mean allowing them to single out a select group of people then that is the very definition of discrimination.

All you have to do is substitute any other group in the sentence. I don't want to sell to blacks, Jews, Christians, Muslims, women, Hispanics, etc. If any of those make you cringe then so should gays.

Why is it that a Christian florist values would be so offended by a wedding between gays and yet he/she would not blink and eye at a providing wedding flowers to a divorced person, Muslim, Hindu, or person who had sex before marriage. All of these things are against Christian belief as well. If your faith is so strong that you will not provide flowers in any of those cases then I would have your back.

EDIT: I do support Obama stepping down!

This is all just bull squirt to deflect your gaze from Barack's latest screw up in Iran and Hillary's emails.

And other things of real import.

If people would just order the cake and shut up about what it's for the baker would would make money, the gays would have a cake, and the rest of us wouldn't have to listen to all this whining!:rolleyes:I

This isn't Mike Pence's fault. he was in the stew no matter which way he went. I say re-elect the guy, he's a tough bastich.

Amen to that brother. I hope saying "amen" wasn't to religious for some of you.

This is just a smoke screen by the liberal, progressive media to draw attention away from Hillary, to give her more time to come up with more lies..

Also, I've said this before that liberal minded people have to practice being that stupid because they were surely not born that way!

More government intervention is better. BS!

So....Pence did something to help Obama deflect from democrat issues? Riiiight.

I think he thinks that Pence is being honest with him when he says he is surprised with the backlash.

Even though the Governor of the State of Indiana surrounded himself with very well known hate groups while signing the legislation.

    A rube. Just like Pence.

Pence isn't raising the stink for the smoke screen. You're not following along.
You are aware that the opponents of this POS legislation come from all side of the political spectrum? Even republicans? Pence, the legislators and their TEAvangelical lobbyist buddies brought this on themselves and got all the rest of the state caught in the crossfire.

Actually , the ones I feel sorriest for are the nuns and monks and the jewish guy who were used as cover for the Miller contingent.

He isn't talking about his brother or anyone else he knows personally. The disdain with which he speaks of Christians is illustrative of his, well, disdain.

What was wrong with the quote?
