    I don't know, did you?

I didn't reply to anyone in particular, just a general statement. I got tired of reading so many simple statements. Particularly, ones in bold letters and increased font.

Several comments in this thread remind me of a quote. I don't know who it is from, and I'll need to paraphrase, because I'm not positive of the exact wording, but here it is.

Honestly, I have never had to place myself in front of enemy fire. I know nothing about the mental and physical daily demands placed on them. Lets also include the fact that their friends are being killed everyday.
If you dont like the way we police your country and fight your battles, do it yourself.
It is unfortuanate that these servicemen did what they did. Reprimand him and get it over with. Dont go overboard.
AMEN !!!!! I never went either, 26 years, and never had to kill ANYONE, or watch someone else die... BUT I AM NOT GOING TO JUDGE, WHAT I DIDN'T SEE... and believe, ONLY WHAT the MEDIA wants me to see....

yes but were not liberals here for the most part, most of us while passionate still believe that an opposing opinion is ok, and will agree to disagree!

The few stories that I have personally heard about stuff that Navy Seals and Marines are expected to do on a daily basis make me feel for them. I cant understand how you could do what you are required to do on a daily basis and not have times where you dont use your best judgement.
WE are TRAINED to BREAK things, and KILL PEOPLE .... and WE are GOOD at IT, and WE ENJOY it !!!!! (to some extent) .....

ya know i spent some time thinking on the actually video itself and not the punishment they deserve and came to a conclusion or maybe a possibility..

all marines are issued a camel back hydration system that they carry around on them which if the hose was held down by the crotch region and open, would easily look like someone was pissing... im trying to give these highly trained scout sniper marines the benifit of the doubt since i truely dont think these marines would do what they are acused of.
Thats what happened, but the damn dumb media thought it was real urine.

with all due respect Sir, how are we going to win they're hearts and minds? its mostly religious for these folks, and they dont want our ways?

hearts and minds only works if folks are either receptive or your going to pull out all the stops and beat them into submission?

if i am missing the point please explain.

Part of the problem is right there... "they don't want our ways". Who says they need to adopt our ways? We just need to stop messing with them and perhaps they will stop "messing" with us. If they continue then we "beat them into submission".

On that note, I really wish people would do some research into our "activities" in other countries throughout our history. If any country did some of the same things to us we would be up in arms and calling for their heads.

    :dunno: What did I say?

My point was that it is my opinion that some don't articulate their arguements very successfully. I hope that clears that up.

i don't care all this PC crap going to kill us in the long run and weaken are military.........:( that insurgent could have killed some of are brothers ......... war is a nasty Vail thing and bad things happen in it, it brings the worse and best in anyone who seen it........but i can't stand the media that try to spin war and make it a PC thing ...........was it smart for those soldier to tape or photo it no......do i blame them for doing it no.........i ate dirt in Bosnia, afgan. , Iraq ......lost friends and a part of my self in those places.....the only people who profit from this is the media.....:xmad:
this was kind of my thoughts. I've never served, but I've had a number of friends who have and from what I gather you mentality can change a lot in combat. Civvies might find it disgusting, but to those who have been sweating and bleeding fighting the scum it may seem appropriate. Kind of like the last kick in the teeth to bad guy you've just been swapping bullets with moments before.
Should it have been done? Probably not, but who am I to judge what I don't understand? Should it have been taped? Absolutely not.
    Carry on. :patriot:

Funny, I see no mention of the USMC in the Holy Bible. Can you cite where these marines are guarding the so called entrance into the afterlife? Or, is the whole holy war thing cropping up again?

That's our opinion. I know for certain I can walk into some neighborhoods in America and see people "acting like animals". Are there some countries that are worst then ours, heck yeah, but it isn't our business to go and try to "civilize the savages". They don't need to change because we want them to.

As long as they are not attacking us then we need to leave them be... and that doesn't mean that it's ok if we fund attacks or assassinations of their leaders as long as we try to keep it secret.

why do yo keep bring religion into this ? :dunno:

Lol, actually religion does play a factor in this "conflict". Many think that part of our involvement is due to our alliance with Israel and their conflict with Islam has been going on for a long long long time.

Why we are getting involved in a situation between two "brothers" makes no sense to me (those more familiar with origins of Judaism and Islam will understand this).
