I moved a while house in a day. Sylvains GF moved her whole house in a day....

On what day did the mayflower trucks arrive in Baltimore? And on what day did they arrive in Indy? And on What day did the agreement between the colts and Indy get approved? Yep they moved in a day to a city they didn't even have a set in stone agreement.

Not to mention they had to dodge Maryland state troopers.

If they can move mag manufacturing in 30 days or less why are they still in Colorado? Stocks =30 days, AFG's 30 days, Mags 30 days, Misc pieces of plastic 30 days.

That's 120 days and we have already surpassed that.

    Proved Wrong How?

    "March 29, 1984[edit]

On March 28, 1984, due to the Maryland Senate's actions, the Phoenix group withdrew their offer.[SUP][1][/SUP] That afternoon, Irsay paid a call to Mayor Hudnut and the city of Indianapolis offered the Colts owner a $12,500,000 loan, a $4,000,000 training complex, and the use of the brand new $77.5 million, 57,980 seat Hoosier Dome.[SUP][14][/SUP] Irsay agreed, which set a chain of events into motion that would bring about the move.
After he got off the phone with Irsay, Hudnut called his neighbor and friend, John B. Smith, after the deal was finalized. Smith happened to also be the chief executive officer of Mayflower Transit, an Indiana-based moving company, and Hudnut asked him to assist the team in their move. Smith sent fifteen Mayflower trucks to Owings Mills and they arrived at the Colts' facility at 2:00 AM the following morning. The reasoning for the late hour of the move was out of fear that the Maryland House of Delegates would also approve the eminent domain bill the State Senate had, which would have resulted in the team being seized the next morning once Maryland Governor Harry Hughes signed the bill into law.[SUP][13][/SUP] Workers loaded all of the team's belongings and the trucks left for Indianapolis. Within eight hours of the Mayflower trucks' arrival in Owings Mills, the Colts were completely gone from Baltimore.[SUP][15][/SUP]Later that day, the House of Delegates indeed passed the bill by a count of 103–19 and Governor Hughes signed it, but by that time it was too late.[SUP][16][/SUP]
All fifteen moving trucks took a different route to Indianapolis from Baltimore, done as a diversion tactic so the Maryland State Police could not enforce the eminent domain law that had just been signed (which they would have been able to act upon once it took effect to force the Colts back to Baltimore). Once a truck got to Indiana, the Indiana State Police would meet it and escort it to Indianapolis— a process repeated until all fifteen vans had reached the destination. Indianapolis Mayor Hudnut held a press conference March 29 to announce the agreement.[SUP][17][/SUP] The deal was sealed March 30 with approval by the Capital Improvement Board, which operated the Hoosier Dome. Two days later, 20,000 new Colts fans cheered as Mayor Hudnut proclaimed March 29, 1984, "one of the greatest days in the history of this city."[SUP][8][/SUP] Baltimore's Mayor Schaefer appeared on the front page of the Baltimore Sun in tears. After the Colts left, and in spite of his earlier stance that the city of Baltimore would not build a new stadium,[SUP][6][/SUP] he placed the building of a new stadium at the top of his legislative agenda.[SUP][7][/SUP]
Later John Moag, Jr., chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority, stated in sworn testimony before the U.S. Senate subcommittee responsible for the Fan Freedom and Community Protection Act: "It was the failure of our local (Baltimore) and state elected officials in Maryland to provide the Colts with a firm proposal for a new stadium that led Mr. Irsay to accept an offer from Indianapolis to play in a new dome in that city."[SUP][18

15 trucks arrived and moved the Colts from Baltimore in 8 hrs. 8 hrs is <24hrs. They moved to a city without a set in stone deal.

    "[/SUP]
Robert Irsay said that his move was "a direct result" of the eminent domain bill.[SUP][7][/SUP] Chernoff would say of the move by the Maryland legislature: "They not only threw down the gauntlet, but they put a gun to his head and cocked it and asked, 'Want to see if it's loaded?' They forced him to make a decision that day."

So then, if Magpul does *not* have a gun to its head, why would it rush the process? The Colts (who really have nothing whatsoever to do with this conversation) may also have had problems after the move that Magpul would like to avoid. Too, it's a wholly different industry. To use the standard format, making this comparison is like comparing apples and jet engine impeller blades... The two are totally unrelated.

Yes i know people can move a house in a day, but usually it is a full days work. (ive done it plenty of times) Its way more than just moving things. Finding a location, setting up their manufacturing process in that new location, find vendors in that location to provide the mass quanity of good to takes to run Magpuls operation, working with that state to get the best tax credits/ misc things that make the company the most profit, taking care of your current employees,( whether it be severance packages or helping them move to your new location) (Id be way more pissed if Magpul just up and left, leaving all those employees unemployed without even a warning.)etc,etc,etc. The list goes on for what has to be done to move a massive company. Magpul would be foolish to not get everything figured out prior to moving. Secondly why would they say where they are moving if deals are not finalized, when they are in delegation with a state for the best tax breaks. if they say we are moving here without all the agreements signed other states would pullback and the dealings with the said state could fall through. its simple business practices here folks you do what is best for your company, not to make some joe blow happy on Indiana Gun Owners..

Sorry you were not informed, carry on.

I agree with Bill completely. It is ridiculous to compare this situation to the Colts. completely different circumstances.

Right On!!!! I tried to explain the problems with a move like this in an earlier post. And I've been involved with a move like this. But you know how people are. If the facts don't support the BS they're trying to shovel they don't want to hear it. They just keep talking louder and longer.
The bottom line is this: WHO CARES!!!!! Have you crybabies never decided something and then after researching it decided to change your mind??? Doesn't Magpul have the same right? They're a business and will do whatever is best for the business and employees.
Whether they move or don't move, or they move next week or next year, is irrelevant and none of your business.
I'm sure we don't have to worry about them coming to Indiana after seeing the immature whining going on in this thread.
I actually had to check the top of my screen a couple of times to confirm I was on :ingo:. I thought I'd accidently stumbled on Facebook and gotten into a discussion with some 14 year old girls arguing about "I saw you talking to my boyfriend".

I haven't get abreast of this thread for some time and applaud someone from Magpul having the ba**s to come on INGO and explain the companies position. It galls me that some of our members have the manners of billy goats.

That's a good idea. I just use it as a reminder to pay the mortgage. I could use it as a reminder for all kinds of things.

Maybe Kirk will be kind enough to add some boiler plate language to the bottom of his monthly posts to remind faithful readers to pay your cell phone bills, pay your mortgage, check your smoke detector batteries (2x a year), buy your wife flowers, etc.

Speaking of flowers, maybe Kirk would also do some special updates. I often forget Valentine's Day. A reminder on, say, Feb 13 could score me some relationship capital.
