    Excellent point

Kind of a dumb point, actually. Using a state trooper as an example...

Since the government functionary is one of 6.5 million people in the state, and 3.3 million of those people are employed, the officer in question is attempting to claim "self employment" status because he pays approximately 1/3,300,000th of his own salary.

Sorry, but that's just really dumb, and signifies a rather desperate effort to defend an indefensible position. The public does, in fact, pay the salary of government workers. It is what it is. Denying it only makes one looks even dumber.

Oh, BTW... if you buy his ridiculous fiction, then you must accept that I am an astronaut. After all, I've been within 1/285,000th of the distance to the moon.

Is it any more ridiculous then one person saying "I pay your salary". I think that was the point.

Not at all taking this the same way. Not at all. And I agree that it's the field house deal, but I don't like it either. Not saying they shouldn't be able to carry, just saying that we all should be able to.
For that matter, I always do. And they will have to tell me to leave. And no one has yet, so, I guess it's all good.

We get free drinks at Speedway.

I got offered a ree drink at a Gas America once.

I asked why and the clerk said, "Cops don't pay."

    Then I told him I wasn't a cop.

Then he made me pay, 'cause I wasn't a cop. And it was a 44 oz Diet Mtn Dew.

So I paid for my drink and drank it on the way home.

    The End

I personally, LIKE the fact that "YOU GUYS" have a marked car sitting in your driveway, or garage..... I believe in a "Police Presence"..... I think it keeps me "safe"..... BUT, I still carry, because I am responsible for my own safety ..... But if any of you, need me, I am available, and will always have your back .......
