At one time there were political differences. These were mostly about how to get things done and who to do them. The commonality was that both sides felt what they were doing for the good of the nation. There could be some unity and some compromise.

Today the divide is between one group that wants to destroy the sovereignty of the nation, destroy the Constitution that protects the citizens, destroy private property rights, destroy families, adopt every level of perversion as normal, indoctrinate the youth to blindly follow anything and to only produce what the tyrants order.

On the other side is law abiding, productive, taxpaying citizens that want to maintain the Nation and the Constitution, protect private property rights, build strong traditional families, keep perversion out of the public square, educate the youth so they may produce every good thing that their generation will need and desire in the future.

I see no way to unite or to compromise those two camps.

Both sides think you’re describing them…

Hahahaha, no. You'll never see a democrat celebrating property rights and family.
They only speak of the constitution when talking about how bad it is, and how it was a product of "white slavers" and "colonialism."

Everything about their ideology is a rejection of our founding, and they will openly admit that.

When even Dr Phil is chipping in...

It's also important to remember, this can never be forgiven:

But I'm sure you're an adherent of "but both sides are the same, I'm so above it all!"

    From the article:

If you still think the left-right divide is bridgeable, it is only because it is too painful to confront the tragic reality of contemporary American life: Today's left-right divide is at least as great as the North-South divide before and during the Civil War. The only thing that remains the same is that it was the Democratic Party that opposed freedom then, and it is the Democratic Party that opposes freedom today.”

The divide is no longer bridgeable. They do everything in their power to gain an edge while the right still continues to go for the moral high ground and play fair.

What do you suggest the right should do that it’s not doing in regards to playing or not playing fair?
