Bonkers, I didn't really take the joke as directed at victims of sex abuse. It was more a twisted take on the end of this POS's career with him ending up in prison. While I don't understand some of the more callous responses to you, I don't think anyone here intended to offend you or anyone else who has gone through that.

Since a couple of people have asked me, the spacing on this is much more prolonged than in state court. E.g., at my last federal case the sentencing was four (4) months after the guilty plea. Six months is not uncommon in complex cases. Sentencing in Indiana courts usually transpires 30 to 45 days after a guilty plea.

Personally, that's the line for me. Making fun of the victims, advocating violence, that sort of thing is over the line IMP. Making fun of the perpetrator, well, that's fair game.

I don't think ANYBODY here has displayed any sympathy for the perpetrator. I think you'll find several calls for his culling from the human race. Making a joke about the person is not making light of the crime, nor showing disdain for the victims.
