Doing nothing new or exciting, just all circuits, martial arts and yoga.

However, we did a new to me shoulder stretch in yoga this afternoon (Sat., 4/30). On your belly, two foam "yoga bricks" shoulder width apart. Place your elbows on the bricks and hang your head with your hands clasped on your neck. Hang there and breath. It will Rice Krispie your neck and take tons of tension out of your shoulders and neck!

If you have a sedentary, white-collar gig which involves the phone and desk, this is a fantastic stretch for you.

I started timing the plank to make it somewhat less boring and see if I could beat my own record.

I can hold it for 2 minutes and 34 seconds so far.

3 minutes 2 seconds on my second try. :rockwoot:
My gym's weekly challenge is accumulate 5 minutes of a weighted plank this week. Did 1 minute 30 seconds unbroken last night w/ a 45# plate, then two more 30 second rounds to get halfway done. :D

My record at the plank is now over 5 minutes! :woot:

If I last longer each day I will soon beat the world's record of 5 hours. lol

Headed to get my ass kicked again in about an hour.

drop me a PM when you want the front side worked over :):

today was a 2000m row and then 10 minutes AMRAP 10 ring rows and 10 sit-ups. I rowed in 8:47 and did 10 sets of rings/sit-ups. Ugh.

then the skill portion sucked too

    3 back squats 60% max
    10 burpees

    2: 3 rounds
    6 back squats 55%

    3: 3 rounds
    9 back squats 50%
    10 burpees

took me 21 mins. 90 burpees and 54 weighted back squats. I. Am. Sore.

Burpees are terrible, but "4 rounds of Cindy" sounds like it could be fun. I imagine I'd need a little more time between sets than I used to though.

Pretty uneventful week, could feel a muscle starting to get pulled in my neck Monday while doing cleans, discontinued the cleans, did a few front squats and back squats and called it a day. Used a lacrosse ball on the muscle several times through the day and evening. Tuesday was good to go.

Hit my Pr's on several lifts but no new Pr's. Going to hit it hard tomorrow then take the weekend off.
