My mom just told me about this....makes me sick hearing the words "an officer has been shot". Need to have a surge of police officers in that area to clean this shi7 up. make em regret their decisions

I don't know that there is an answer for that, this isn't something that normally happens. I will say that the gloves are about to come off. They've shot nine of us, lit one of our cars on fire while parked in an officers driveway and sucker punched an officer last night while he was occupied escorting an arrestee.

Stay safe! Same goes for VUPD, VitaminK, and the others.

I know they have 1 officer per car, to cover more area, but shouldn't they go back to 2 officers?
I can't imagine not having someone next to me to back me up.

My prayers to the officer and his/her family.

Prayers going out to the officer, his family, and brothers and sisters in blue. News like this is devastating and I am hitting my knees for this officer tonight. Thank you to those who wear the badge for going into those areas every day to keep the peace.

When it gets angry enough, our city will turn - nothing good comes of this. You will find law abiding citizens who are angrier and angrier about the thug mentality and their ridiculous actions...in time...when they get angry enough...the temperature will change. You will find once calm people becoming very quick to react with force to anyone they deem thug-like. There will be vigilante justice if this is allowed to go on much longer. May God help our city and wrap His mighty wings of protection around those who so bravely defend it in the face of such violence.

As always, if the city could afford it...

Prayers to the officer and his family for a quick recovery.

The thoughts and prayers of our family are with the Officer.

As for the perpetrator, it's unfortunate they made that choice, and it cost them their life. But, it was THEIR choice.

I think some departments have one officer during the day and two at night.
