where are the equal rights groups on that one?
Actually, that issue has been litigated, just not in a long time.
where are the equal rights groups on that one?
What's your point? Would you like me to go through any well respected group and find the bottom of their barrel?
Again, this goes back to the statement, "I thought Rhodes Scholar was another way of saying 'draft dodger'." No one is saying they deserve some sort of extra benefit of the doubt, but it's certainly not appropriate to use being a Rhodes Scholar as a reason to trash someone. That is just asinine. It's an impressive academic honor. That's all. It's no guarantee of success, hyped prestige notwithstanding, and it's no measure of character or worth. It says nothing other than that they're smart and lucky enough to be noticed through a forest of smart people. If anything I suppose we should be more disappointed when a Rhodes Scholar pulls stuff like Mel Reynolds, having squandered the prestige of the honor.

Rhodes scholars, per se, are no more deserving of our respect than exceptional persons in any field. Having spent much of my life in academia, I am less than impressed by the 'smart' guys and gals who have put us in the **** we are currently in.
My question would be what have they done with all their smarts?
You have not seen some of the socks my son chooses to use thencan't i just not like somebody just because i don't like them?why does every body assume it has somthing to do with color, sex, religion, house size, color of socks!!some people just arent very nice.
