I went through 23 Handguns before I found the right one(s)

Man, I've went through quite a few handguns. Can't say I've had any real turds like the OP, though.

1) M&P Shield - sold to fund an XDs
2) XDs - sold to fund an LCP
3) Ruger Mk II 22lr
4) XDM .40 Comp - Sold to fund a PPQ
5) LCP - sold to fund a G43
6) PPQ
7) CZ 97b - Sold to fund a CZ SP-01
8) CZ SP-01 fully Cajunized
9) G43

I'd buy them, train with them for a while, and if they didn't work 110% for how I carry and use them, they got put up for sale to fund something else. Had a lot of fun running those guns. And I'm very happy with the firearms I have now. EDC is my G43, Nightstand/truck gun is my PPQ, 22lr plinker is the MK II, and range fun is my SP-01. I won't ever be getting rid of any of those, but I'll surely get a few more range toys (still need a 357 revolver, a nice 1911, and a race gun of some flavor).

First hand gun and last one to ever be sold is my Smython. Yes I was lucky cuz I had no idea how good it is. I just wanted a handgun to "stick it to Obama"

Turns out my favorite Glock wasn't a Glock at all.

Same here, my favorite Glock turns out to be a P320 compact.

...followed by the new g40 MOS, of course.

Sometimes you have one...xds for me...trade it only to miss it a few guns later and buy another one. Then you really feel dumb (especially when you had 7 mags for it that you traded).
