Having the freedom to say whatever you want does not mean you should say anything you want.

We used to have a little thing called "decorum". You know, the ability to let others say dumb things without succumbing to the urge to match them.

That's the kind of professionalism I can expect from some police officers?

    IFITY.

No, I would never wear that. While I have my opinions in regards to that incident, why the hell would I wear that in public. Just because some people decided to be tools and wear the protest shirts doesn't mean I have to stoop to their level. I am far from alone in that. I am sure most of the buyers are not actually officers.

Haven't you heard? It's us versus them. In every situation, you have to be an us or them. I'm having trouble keeping track of whether I'm an us or them. We all have to choose sides in every situation. There is absolutely no room for "sounds like a local issue" or "I'm sure there are details I don't know, so I'll stay out of it"

    CHOOSE!!!!
I'd like to see those t-shirts

You and I both know the days of Decorum are gone. Honor/morality are fading.

Yeah, I cannot say anything positive about that. If we want to be treated as professionals we need to act like professionals, that includes off-duty as that officer might be in the t-shirt.

...and believe it or not, people have more freedom in our generations, than any other prior (collectively)

In my lifetime i've seen the following changes.

Can't put leaves out for the trash man.
Can't burn trash in your back yard.
Can't sell gasoline with lead or without ethanol.
Can't buy cold medicine without paperwork.
    Can't drive without a seatbelt.
Can't drive with an open container of alcohol.
Can't have kids in the car without being in a carseat.
Catch and keep a box turtle.
Can't send a box full of homemade cupcakes to your kids school.
Can't play with toy guns in the local park.

Obviously that officer doesn't hold an elected position. He probably never expects to become sheriff. Lol

i laughed. Wouldn't want my name associated, but I laughed.

Seems about right. Somebody has to tell all these idiots how proper people act in the 21st century.

    Ha!
