So why haven't they been asked for it before? What made this case different? Even Colin Powell believed that the Birtherism conspiracy was racist, was he also "crying racism" when there was none?

Colin Powell isn’t the head of morality and just because he “believes” it was racism doesnt make it so. There was people discrediting ted Cruz because of the Canada deal, was that racism also?

Both Barack and Michael Obama were born in the United States... their loyalty to the same leaves much to be questioned.

I can agree with that, but that opinion is just as valid as those who hold the opposite, right? Ted Cruz wasn't elected, and his "birther issue," was an order or magnitude smaller, and used by many going "tit for tat" over Obama's issue.
You say its not racist, but the two biggest proponents of the Birtherism conspiracy, it's arguable if they aren't racists themselves.

Its arguable, but not a fact. And whether it was used as a “tit for tat” over Obama’s issue or not, that doesn’t mean it is or isn’t racism. There are racist incidents throughout history that we could probably say were tit for tat caused by another cause, that doesn’t make it ok.

So let me ask you this then... since you believe Obama was born in the United States, what do you think people are getting at when he is referred to as "The Kenyan," or when someone cites his middle name, calling him "Hussein Obama?" What is the purpose of those, are they meant to disparage?

I think they dislike the guy and use any way they can to insult him. Just like calling Michelle a man. Do you think they really believe that, or are just being insulting? I don’t believe they are being racist, although it can be portrayed in that light if someone wants to look at it that way.

And, did you even notice the Salma pics? :):

I agree... but why is it an insult to be Kenyan or to cite his actual name? Should one view those things as inherently negative?

Scanning this thread reminded me of how thankful I am for the "ignore" feature at INGO.

Some can't play in the big leagues... but are willing to do drivebys, when if they are ignoring people, they should just stay quiet.

Hitlary clinton started the "birther" movement.

Exception post: Not help the not racist argument... she also called black youths "super predators," was mentored by Byrd, and had a husband who made a dig at Obama, by comparing his wins to Jessie Jackson in 84 and 88.

Like birth announcements in newspapers? Like what exactly that proves they were born in the US?

Yeah, that and birth certificates and census records etc. and records of their parents and grandparents living in the US for decades, etc. In fact President Trump is the most suspect of the recent presidents - his mother was born in Scotland but she immigrated to the US in 1930 and became a US citizen in 1942.

Plus all you had to do was ask them, if it wasn't obvious enough, and they would have settled the matter immediately with out playing any race cards either.

I see what you’re saying, and I agree. that is probably more racist to Kenyans than it is to obama in my opinion, if we looked at it as being racism in a way (since they are using being Kenyan as an insult). And I think the Hussein part has to do with the Muslim accusations, since he refused to call the terror attacks radical Muslims.

Just something to think about. We both have our perspectives, and I'm not going to say you're wrong. We can move on. I appreciate you being civil.
