yes in the side and right thight twice. now have a titanium femur and plates/screws. Had chest tubes lots of hospital and recovery time,physical therapy and so on. What I learned :
1. I shouldnt have volunteered for a third tour
2. NEVER want to be shot again
3. Can now predict inclement weather
4. Your IBA doesnt have much coverage in the armpit area and a few inches below
5. God bless the Wounded Warrior Project
6. the VA healthcare system sucks!
Among alot of other lessons learned that we wont get into here!

Back in my not to smart day's got shot in the chest bout 2" to the right of my left nipple (yeah TMI) He was close enough that I grabbed the gun so the slide didnt work ,and I was tryn to turn out of the way so the bullet hit at an angle and luckley a rib .Bullet didnt enter the chest cavity ,nice lil hole in ,than lodeged in my arm pit .What did I learn, most people dont like someone bangin there girlfriend and that I was DAMN LUCKY, should also add that's part of the reason I dont drink anymore. oh yeah 32 cal

I've been shot by a 177 caliber pellet at about 20-30 feet away by my brother when we were in our pre-teens. Hurt like heck and got a nice welt. Luckily for me that has been it and never been shot with a firearm.

Got shot with a bb gun. learned to start running when my brother starts counting instead of at 2.

I also shot this little punk kid with a bb pistol bolt when i was in highschool for running his mouth after we caught him trying to sneak my buddies younger sister out. This was shortly before we broke a pool Q on his as running him off the property. Whoops
Lesson learned there dont mouth off to the guy with the gun

We have a small gravel pit on the family farm where old implements go to die. We used to shoot at an old buzz saw blade with .22s it made a cool gong when hit. Then one day we started shooting at it with handguns at a much closer distance, just a few shots in I watched in horror as a .357 slug came back and hit my buddy square in the chest . Not much damage done , pretty good welt lesson learned we don't shoot the saw blade any more.

I never considered it as being shot but I do have a piece of a 9mm Winchester Silvertip in my right pectoral muscle from a ricochet (Splashback) off of a metal target stand. The doctor said it wasn't worth removing because it's just sitting in the muscle and shouldn't ever be a problem.
I learned to be careful of metal targets and target stands. I also learned to always wear protective eyewear, which I wasn't doing that day.
The funny thing was that I didn't realize I had been hit until a buddy of mine asked why my shirt was turning red. It was scary for just a little bit.

Never shot by a real gun, but by BBs and paintballs tons. Also got a big whelp on my shin when a friend who was a golf novice teed off and sliced into a tree, and the ball ricocheted back towards us and hit my leg. I nearly hit myself a couple years later while teeing off on a hole that went uphill over a creek that had slate banks. I topped the ball and it went straight forward, hit the slate on the far bank, and ended up about 20 yards behind the tee box.

I used to run a grocery store on the southside of Chicago where I couldn't carry my gun. in a time span of less then a year I was shot at (not hit thankfully) 7 times, robbed successfully twice with two armed (not good) guards in the store, and had to be escorted in and out of the building. That is the main reason I left that job.

Hell yes I've been shot...Seems everytime we do combat courses I get hit with ricochets. One almost got me in the nuts. Now that is scary!

I have a close friend that shot himself in the BUTT with his Springfiels XD40. He doesn't carry with one in the pipe anymore. We called him "bowling ball butt". When he called to tell me I laughed till I cried. If I knew how, I would post photos. I still have them on my email file.

I was 10 or 11 and I walked up to my 13 yr old brother, he was pumping up a Crossman 760.

ME: Hey what ya doin?

BRO: Run, it'll hurt less.

The jackass got me in back of the right leg. 30+ years later the BB is still there. We went home and put a band-aid over the hole in my leg. Never did tell our parents, didn't want to lose our guns.

yep, got shot in the hand by some frigging gangbangers in cali in 95 when i was a private in the marines, and been shot at a ton of times, rocketed, mortared. Still this tour was my closest call, some tard decided he didn't want to be a suicide bomber and was trying to ditch the bomb when it went off as I was walking up to him. Got me a nice enemy marksmanship badge and see the wonders of high explosives on the human body.
