Since Israel’s founding the Knesset, Israel’s legislature, has included Arab/Druze and Muslim/Christian members. If I recall correctly they are not subject to Israel’s mandatory military service, but have the option to join the IDF if they wish, which many do.

Believe it or not, there are a few INGOers that are Muslim. You wouldnt know it unless they told you. And they are some of the most sane, level headed professionals here.

Saw a interview on praguer u i believe of a arab Muslim serving in idf. He explained why he does and it sums up as Israel is his country and his home and its been good to him. I'll try and find it if I can. Cause I remember being shocked at it as well
