Spending some money to research violence doesn't really bother me, as long as the research isn't to find justification for a conclusion already drawn. But either way, $50M? Nah! I can tell them they're full of **** for WAY cheaper than that.

Only 19 and already begging state to strip him of his rights.

I wonder if this idiot knows how useful he is.

Yet again more anecdotal evidence of why we shouldn't look to teenagers for input on important policy decisions. The same people who want to lower the voting age to 16 will cite research indicating that adolescent brains and judgment are not fully formed until the person is about 25, when discussing juvenile justice issues.

    • I have never been able to see how a thirty-year-old moron can vote more wisely than a fifteen-year-old genius . . . but that was the age of the "divine right of the common man." Never mind, they paid for their folly.
—Jean V. Dubois, Lieutenant-Colonel, Mobile Infantry (Retired)

Heinlein unfortunately didn’t contemplate the problem of fifteen-to-twenty-year-old morons (e.g., “Pigglet”) demanding the franchise.

So, What's Elizabeth Warren's Plan for Gun Control?

    Marie ClaireJuly 30, 2019, 2:30 PM CDT

    Some good in the comments.
Many people pointing out the errors in "gun control" and "gun safety".

    Also, how about this?
Keeping all of this in mind, Warren's lack of a detailed strategy*could*be a strategy in itself. At the end of the day, as we inch closer and closer to November 3, 2020, the candidate who appeals to the largest national audience is going to be in the Oval Office. Perhaps we have to wait until Warren can call 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue home to see a direct plan on how she's going to eliminate gun violence once and for all.

In other words, don't tell them. Do it afterwards.
Gee, that doesn't sound backhanded or sneaky at all.

Much like they did with ObamaCare, details drafted by staffers in secret, very little public or other legislators' input, and a 2100 page bill presented with little opportunity for analysis or consideration? "We will have to pass the bill to find out what's in it."

We need to be on our game!

Watching for Republicans to be caving to the "assault weapon/magazine capacity" conversations brought on by the dems who will use any means to take away the 2nd.

Bi-partisan gun control efforts en route.

Trump suggests linking legislation on background checks for buying guns with Immigration Reform.

There was nothing in either shooters background that would have prevented them from buying guns.

Trump calls for Dems and GOP to act on "strong background checks" on gun purchases
