Some thoughts on that accident:

The entire scenario makes no sense. First, the police assisted the protest that closed down a highway on July 4th by blocking entrances onto that section of the highway. Second, the protestors blocked the highway with two vehicles. Third, somehow a vehicle made its way onto the highway and ended up swerving to avoid the vehicles and hit two protesters. Question: If the highway is empty and police have closed entrances, then why block the road with two vehicles?

The accident has caused the BLM protesters a lot of heartburn, not so much because it caused the death of one of their number but because it was a black driver who hit a white protestor. Their programming didn't anticipate this contingency.

First, Seattle enabled CHAZ which resulted in a *massive* increase in crime, which was only shut down after a protest at the mayor's home. Then after this highway protest:

Hours after Taylor succumbed to her injuries, the WSP announced it was changing its policies to arrest people who block freeways instead of letting them protest there.

The admission that official Seattle had apparently allowed the protesters to take over the freeway was met with incredulity from law-abiding folks, including one who rightly observed that “Seattle looks like a bunch of children learning not to touch a hot stove.”
