Some long-haired guy was telling everyone that if they were truly committed to "the movement", then they needed to find a black African American (I guess he wanted to cover all the bases), and give them $10. Wasted soil I think. If you look at the first image it looks like cardboard or plywood was first laid down and then all that top soil was added on top.

I dont garden but have seen youtube videos on how to grown simple crops in the backyard or 5gal buckets from lots of different backyard farmers and urban farmers and I've never seen it done the way that pic has it.

Seems like they did not want to do the work of prepping the the area, ie removing the grass, for the crops they are planting. What type of plants are those?

Dont you normally plant in rows, lots of rows.
