Not sure what kind of mushroom this is but I've never seen one this late in the year. Had to quickly get a picture of it before I removed it so the dog wouldn't eat it.

The river is so far down I doubt you'd get your ankles wet walking across it but the herons are taking advantage of their new fishing spots.
