I only use(used I guess, nothing set up currently) Aqueon (formerly All Glass). Many like Perfecto as well, as they are (or used to be) made in Indiana.

My 75 gallon was a Perfecto, and it was made in Noblesville, where they still exist and manufacture them. Don't know if he is still involved, but Brad Hurst who owned both the Brass Flamingo and it's sister bar on Lafayette Road.

Fringe benefits of delivering beer for 31 years, you get to know a few people.:D

where is the best place to buy these tanks?

I bought my tank @ the Aquarium shop that used to be in the same center as the Wal-Mart on 31 just north of Greenwood. Can'r remember the price but got a great deal on the tank, base and top for it. I think I paid around $300.00 maybe 15 or 16 years ago for it, but it was a great set up, you can barely make out one of the huge Bala Sharks on the right side and the other on the left near the tv.

i had african cichlids and oscars in my 55 gal. 3 cich, 2 oscars, plus my pleco. worked out great.

Please don't encourage other people to do this. Africans and South Americans don't belong in a tank together. Not to mention that 2 Oscars alone is grossly overstocking a 55g tank.
