but wait, we will contain it and no one else will catch it. 50+76+133 people potentially exposed (that we know of) to a deadly virus, and there is still no official boarder lock down or quarantine. Way to go team Obama. At this rate, there will be 10,000 cases here just in time for halloween.

Wait, I thought you said that all our health professionals in this country were highly trained in how to don and doff their PPE. Certainly they would also be highly trained in how to not further expose additional people as well...

Or, I guess as we now know, and I said previously, most of our medical professional haven't been trained on jack :poop: and that will be the downfall of any attempt to contain this...

I think you are confusing improperly trained and improperly equipped. They are well versed on how to properly remove PPE. This entire fiasco started because they were advised to wear the WRONG PPE. The assertion was made that the nurse did not know how to properly remove her PPE and that led to her infection. This is patently false, as we all well know now thanks to all the revisionist history on the part of the CDC. I believe if you reread what I said, you will clearly see the difference, but hey, why not join everyone else with their head in the sand and believe whatever makes you happy.

I think the best description of the cdc handling of this mess is oops!

They should stop making statements on tv until they get a handle on this, their credibility drops by the hour.

Supposedly she flew out the same day the first nurse showed symptoms and a day before the diagnosis was confirmed. The flight back was after the diagnosis.
Wait, could you repeat that? She was diagnosed and they let her take a commercial flight?

Well, at the time, I was talking about nurse 1. Nurse 2 (Vinson) flew home to Cleveland before nurse 1 (Pham) was diagnosed. Vinson flew back to Dallas after Pham was diagnosed.

Turns out, she also flew back to Dallas with a fever. After the CDC said it was ok to fly with a fever after having been exposed to ebola.

Because Obama said it was low risk.

Some additional details. The nurse called the CDC multiple times before flying. She obviously knew enough to be concerned, but the CDC said she was good to go. Ebola Patient Contacted CDC Before Flight, Agency Says | NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

If FNF, Benghazi, Lois Lerner, didn't lead to OBO being escorted from the Oval Office under arrest, mayhaps this might?

Let's see how the Dems spin Ebola in the midterms... if there's anything left of the party by then, I'll be amazed.

I dont think Obama should be blamed for the hospitals mistake.

That's fair. The hospital certainly made some mistakes.

What Obama does deserve blame for is the confused, overconfident, and misleading way the CDC - an executive branch department - handled the situation. Specifically, Frieden did FAR worse at this than Michael Brown did during Katrina.

exactly. Obama owns this like Bush was blamed for Katrina. Especially since it was Obama and his cabinet who changed the very guidelines he proposed and campaigned for when the avian flu was a "pandemic"

I asked this question on one of the other threads (which has not been merged...) "How many charges of reckless endangerment should Amber be charged with since she knowingly mingled in public with a fever after treating an Ebola patient?"

She was a nurse, she knew the risk...she flew anyway...it's as relevant as saying "I thought the gun was unloaded".

Got it, "I'm a professional, trust me" No one in the medical profession has a requirement to act responsibly as long as they can demure to the blindingly competent CDC.

I feel much better now, no worries to fly with these people. After all they are following protocol. Purple as needed.

If this thing has gone airborne, and there seems to be reason to think it has, much trouble. Vinson has likely exposed the TSA reprobates, who shall now expose everyone they molest subsequently, as well as everyone on the flight. I can see that becoming a problem. A very big problem.
