    I also carry around a 1 ft circle of fabric to most places, even stores. My child acts up...the fabric is on the floor and she sits on it until her time is up.

    That's a great idea! We have been known to put Sean in a corner at the stores. He was mortified. Only had to do it once or twice, and not for a VERY long time.

    It's very seldom I actually have to use it. Most of the time I just have to tell her I'm going to get it out and she shapes up. If for some reason I don't have it with me, she knows it's the corner closest to the door she needs to sit it. If I say "Time Out", she immediately starts walking towards the corner.
