My GF recently ended our relationship of seven years for unknown reasons.

This years Christmas day will be the 10th anniversary of my wife’s passing and I’ll probably be alone for the first time since then.

My house needs some work, but with the coming election and economic uncertainty, don’t dare spend the money now.

My life has never been so gloomy and uncertain as it is right now.
Hang in there. You have friends & family......you have the INGO gang and most importantly you have the Lord. Reach out when you need an ear, we're here for ya.

Amen. I ride with the Indiana Patriot Guard Riders. We helped escort a forever young man home today. Clossie Brown was a 36 year old PFC in the US Army when he was KIA in France during WWII in 1945.

He had been MIA (presumed dead) for 79 years... until just recently when a DNA match was made that was used to ID his remains. Prior to this, for decades, he was buried in a grave marked "unknown".

His plane landed today at Indianapolis, and I (along with over 100 other riders) escorted him home to Frankfort, where he will be laid to rest on Tuesday. Even got to meet some of his family, including a young Marine SSG & Purple Heart recipient who was there all decked out in his blues to welcome his great grandpa home.

    Today... was a good day.

This thread makes my heart heavy. I hope you all continue to fight and that you find peace in your heart soon. Life is a roller coaster with so much good and bad.

Times have been rough for my wife and I for several years now, and It has taken me awhile to learn from it, from a faith aspect. The storms may never go away but we can prepare ourselves for how we handle it. Here is a little snip from an article for encouragement. As I have tried to push away my “will” and let his “will” prevail, I find more peace in my heart even though we are still fighting the fire.

Sometimes God needs to slap us in the face to wake us up. Without such wakeup calls we will blindly fall onto the wrong path that leads to greater disappointment and ruin. We will not see it coming, because our will is in the way of His. But know this, God is there leading and protecting us, even when we do not see Him! And be warned if your will is in the way of His, He will light a fire under you to get you moving. If He didn't, it would show He does not love you! Just as a parent will discipline their child out of love. Problems will point us in a right direction if we surrender our will over to His. His love is there to motivate us and change us into the best path and plan, much better than we could ever come up with! Is God trying to get your attention?

I live each day wondering what will be around the corner. About 18 months ago I was really dragging at work. I went to doc and long story short, they did an EKG and said who is your cardiologist? I said I don't have one and she said you are getting one now. I am not doing bad, but have not been back to work and doc said I probably won't be. I still keep busy all the time and keep moving. Many are worse than me, so I don't complain.

Reminds me of a story when I was a little kid. My Grandparents had chickens in a fenced in yard. Maybe 150 by 150. In the middle was a burning barrel. My Uncle was probably 20 ish. He said stay back and watch this... He tossed in the papers from the trash can from the house into the barrel. Then took a little gas in a coffee can and poured it in the barrel. Tossed in a wooden match and ran. Whoof. Burning papers all over the chicken yard. I still remember to this day, my Grandmother yelling out the back door "Jimmy, you are going to scare those chickens"!!!

I have too many days that I wonder, what exactly is my mission? Seems I'm aimlessly wandering and I'm getting a little tired of accomplishing little and it's honestly nice to see that I'm not alone.
My health is great for my age but the ex-wife did the same to me after 11 years and I'm going on 10 alone but thank God every day for my dog.
It's difficult to give your all and for some unknown reason get kicked in the nads but that seems to be almost the norm in our world. Women are unexplainable creatures, that's about all I can say about that, reminds me of a meme that always gave me a chuckle.

DoggyMama and I have been together for a little over 20 years. There were times when I thought we might not make it. She was a self-described "red-headed biker bitch" when we first met. And she was crazy, but mostly in a fun way. Then menopause happened. :nailbite::runaway:

But I never gave up, and neither did she. We buried her two daughters only 2 years apart, and that was unimaginably hard for her. Now she is battling her second round of cancer and we're still not giving up. I still pray that we'll grow old(er?) together every day. But in the end, that's up to the Lord.

Sorry to hear that. I know the first holidays alone were really tough, not that the following ones alone were a bed of roses.

I can't imagine that... So horrible.

I remember my Grandfather when my Dad past. He said it is sad for a parent to bury one of their children. My Father was in his 40s. It has been a long time and still think about him.
