Ain't no way that was a simulated attack. Throttle jockey was showboating, but any sort of attack on an Arleigh Burke class would be at standoff distance. It does have a 23mm cannon, but even if he got to guns range, an attack would break off and not pass that close.

Well, unless he was REALLY foolish.

Somewhat more interesting is this little birdie, which could take a closer look. Wonder what sort of gear it was carrying.

That's a naval helo with about a 500 mile range.

A car bomb explosion has killed a leading Belarusian journalist and Kremlin critic, Pavel Sheremet, in the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
He hosted a morning news show on Radio Vesti and reported for Ukrayinska Pravda, a popular news website.
The bomb went off as Sheremet, 44, was driving a car belonging to his partner, the website's owner Olena Prytula.
Sheremet had lived in Kiev for five years, after quitting Russian TV because of alleged Kremlin pressure.
The Russian authorities accuse Ukrainian media of distorting news from eastern Ukraine, where pro-Russian rebels are defying Kiev's forces.
Ukraine's Interior Ministry spokesman, Artem Shevchenko, called the car bombing "a brazen murder... aimed at destabilising the situation" in Ukraine.

So, the Russians bomb a US/Ally base in Syria in order to make Obama come to the table and agree with them and it works. Kerry signs an agreement to go against a Syrian regime opponent. All because Russia strongarmed him. And Trump is Putin's buddy. Disgusting all around.
