Ex-boyfriend storms ex-girlfriend’s apartment and engages in altercation with current boyfriend, then pulls gun and shoots a current boyfriend in leg and abdomen.

Current boyfriend makes his way to bedroom where retrieved his own gun and shoots at ex-boyfriend. Ex boyfriend flees. Current boyfriend gets taken to a hospital. Police found ex-boyfriend at a hospital where he had been dropped off by relatives and charged him with attempted murder and other bad things.

    Hope she was worth it.

Catching up on this thread, really strange to see something out of Punxsutawney not groundhog related.

Husband and wife driving down street see couple of teenage girls waving them down for help. Couple stops and girls say a man just murdered their mother. Couple calls 911. Then a man drives up and girls tell couple he is the one who shot their mom (came back to take care of the witnesses?) Husband draws his own gun and holds man until police arrive. Domestic dispute, man charged with capital murder because children present at mother’s murder.

Farmer on his way to a concert and to buy his sons some “fancy burgers” drives past some buildings he is renovating to open a store, notices strange vehicle parked there. Stops to investigate, gets vibes, gets his gun. Finds two guys behind building, one approaches with a club, farmer holds both at gunpoint until deputies arrive. The two guys were arrested for burglary, farmer and sons still make the concert but had to settle for pizza because the burger stand had closed.

Go read the whole article, it’s much more interesting than the usual homeowner-nabs-burglars crime story. I do think I would have backed off early on, having three kids in the car, but it came out OK and the kids think dad is a hero.

From back in July, don’t remember seeing this in thread:

Family of four awakened early Sunday morning by breaking glass. Dad finds guy holding (non-running) chainsaw standing in kitchen, glass in backdoor smashed. Dad fires four times, hits three. Chainsaw man taken to hospital, tests negative for alcohol and drugs, thought to be suffering from psychotic break. Aside from the GSWs.

Man breaks into home at midnight. Couple in home fire single shot, no one injured (no points for marksmanship), somehow man ends up in police custody for burglary and criminal threatening (ok, points for successfully defending the castle).

Anyone know a good drywall guy in Vermont?

Man calls sheriff, says another man (AM) tried to break into his home and man shot AM in the head (points for marksmanship). Deputies find AM two miles away, fly him to trauma hospital where he’s treated and released (to the cops I hope) with non-life threatening injuries (feel like deducting points).

    That's some fine shooting.
I've seen some police shooting videos where 5+ officers unload on one guy. I was thinking man that guy must look like Swiss cheese. He was only hit four times, and only twice in the torso, and he lived.

Speaking of armed citizen stories does anyone know the real reason (by real reasons I mean not assumptions or personal theories) why the NRA quit listing the specific calibers in the stories their Armed Citizen page?
