On Garrison this morning, Tom Rose was hosting. Had the Chicks on the Right on. they mentioned that many women who are not hardcore left-wing feminists might vote for Christie. Women tend to not support each other all that well in politics.

It appears that the republican primary field will be Christie as the establishment candidate, Cruz as the conservative candidate and Rand Paul as the the libertarian. If Christie wins the nomination who will he pick as the VP? Cruz or Paul?

Those 2 are not liberal (D) in (R) clothes like Christie so he wouldn't consider either one of them.

Cruz can't run. He was born in Canada.

Although I'm 150% positive Obama was not born in this country, there is the same amount of "proof" that he was as there is that Cruz was born in Canada.

Sad really because I really want a Rand Paul/Ted Cruz ticket.

That has been researched. Cruz, as was Obama, are natural born citizens due to having one parent who is a citizen.

We have too many barracks lawyers who think that they know the law.

I believe that's because 'natural born citizen' is a fairly ambiguous term and not defined in the Constitution.
I'd always heard that both parents had to be US citizens.

So what? He is not a naturalized citizen, he is a citizen by birth, the essential meaning of "natural born citizen." Please people, stop spreading this nuttiness.

I recently did a little research on this. The powers that be say it's likely, but not a lock. There may have to be either be a court determination or a declaration of Congress.

As it is with the current illegitimate-in-chief, the burden doesn't fall upon the Constitution, the burden falls upon him to prove that he aligns with it.

Gosh, another RINO. Says he is conservative yet acts like a Democrat?

    “I’m not a RINO! Please!

    “I’m a Hippo.”

    - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie

de Vattel: Of Our Native Country, and Several Things That Relate to It

Please read (with emphasis on section 212) and reconsider your statement. George Washington is on record as having borrowed a copy of this book for the purpose of serving as a reference during the Constitutional convention.

Actually, maybe you should read it again as it differentiates between those who are citizens by birth (natural born) and citizens by naturalization. Cruz is a citizen by birth.

Lord, the stupidity abounds. He has satisfied the State of Texas, and the United States Senate that he is a natural born citizen, a citizen by birth, not naturalization. That's why it's called "naturalization" because it's the process to use if you're not "natural" born. This isn't rocket science. And the same with Obama, if the State of Hawaii says he was born there, according to law and the Constitution, he was born there, regardless of anyone's skepticism.

Who knows what's going to happen? In 2005, I'm sure there wasn't many folks out there saying Obama was going to win the dem nomination and be our next POtuS. IIRC, most opinions I heard had Hilary by a land slide.

Its way to early to project but it's great to discuss candidates. Chris Christie will not get my vote if he is the nominee. Hillary will not get my vote if she is the nominee. I would pull the lever again for Gary Johnson if he is the nominee.

If the GOP would like my vote, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee or Justin Amash would need to win the primary. Sorry dems, there isn't a single one in your socialist party I would vote for.
