Southern coastal California could secede and become the California Republic, (or Peoples Republic of California). It would attract all the left wing moonbats to move to their new country. What could go wrong?

Northern and interior California could be renamed the state of Jefferson. We would have to demand that Edwards AFB be included in the new State of Jefferson. Would still leave us with 50 states.
