I've seen it ridiculed by the same people ridiculing California secession. In terms of "is secession okay or not" INGOers who have an opinion on it have been consistent.

That's a good point. The people supporting Texas secession seem to be just fine with California leaving.

If the rural Oregonians are on board with that, it's for different reasons, and they probably wouldn't mind parting ways with Portland on top of that.

True, but for different reasons. With Texas it was more of a "good for you" kind of attitude. With California, it's more like "good riddance".
