he may have been crazy but there is BIG money in playing esports, ie. video games. here in the states its still getting started but in europe and asia those players are celebraties and make a good living.

the shooter in this cases was the 2017 madien champion. madien football is the game they were playing the 2018 edition. from what i can find this was not a championship game just qualifications and 1st place was only 3500 but with advancement towards the championship i would imagine.

My guess, and it s a guess, is that he was never adjudicated incompetent or committed to a mental institution.

Being hospitalized =/= “committed”.
