I stopped by a LGS today to pick up one of those gun blueing sharpie things(don't ask),
and he still had 4 ARs on the shelf at decent prices. I joked about taking a pic of them because no one would believe me. :D

Stopped into Plainfield tonight to get a few odds and ends. Last AR in stock was sold when I was standing there (a .300 blackout model of some variety). Bob had a pink stocked Crosman 760 where all the ARs were and a handwritten sign saying something along the lines of Sold Out of ARs, this is the rifle Obama will let you have, get it while you can...

why?... it sounds like he got one of the last ar available for a while
He should have done some research before buying. I'm all about informed buying rather than knee jerk buying, which was clearly what he was doing.

And he wasn't asking about gun safety, which was clearly what he needed.

    Yes, he was an idiot.

Come on man, you're playing into the fear mongering.

They arent going to have another awb. The last one proved unsuccessful and enacting an awb would put quite a few Americans who produce them out of business.

This is all idiots playing into the panic buying.

Your still on this idiot kick? "The boats not sinking, it's the Titanic, it's unsinkable". "They aren't going to have another AWB." Keep telling your self that while the life boats fill up so to speak.

We won't know who the idiots are until it's over..... Just saying.

Common sense. They are not going to let this opportunity slip by.
S.A. 2575 would make it illegal to transfer or possess large capacity feeding devices such as gun magazines, belts, feed stripes and drums of more than 10 rounds of ammunition with the exception of .22 caliber rim fire ammunition.

Just because it failed the first time does not mean they will not get it the second time.

Passing an AWB with a grandfather clause will be tough enough. There's no way in hell they have the votes to pass one without that clause. Here's a direct quote from Feinstein on Meet the Press this past Sunday. She states explicitly that the AWB will be prospective.

“I’m going to introduce in the Senate and the same bill will be introduced in the House, a bill to ban assault weapons. It will ban the sale, the transfer, the importation and the possession. Not retroactively but prospectively."

Feinstein will introduce assault weapons ban in Senate
