School Security guard fired for telling student to stop calling him the N word.

Unruly student is being removed from campus by the administration. On his way out the student is throwing the N word around. Guard shows up to help and the kid calls him a N. Guard says to "Stop calling me a [n word]." and tried to explain to the child how it was inappropriate. He was fired for not self censoring and actually saying the word.

Luckily in the interim there has been enough backlash that the school board is now starting to realize context is actually a thing, and maybe they should consider that instead of having a blanket zero tolerance "say it and you are fired" rule.

Shooting downtown about an hour ago. 14-year old and 16-year old involved.

    https://cbs4indy.com/2019/10/18/shooting-in-downtown-indy-leaves-one-injured/

A 16-year-old boy was apprehended by law enforcement at Illinois and Maryland in connection with the shooting. IMPD said when they found him, he had two firearms on him.

Witnesses told police there was some sort of confrontation between the teenagers and some older adults. For some reason, the altercation ended in gunfire.

“At this point in time, we have a 16-year-old with two weapons on him and a 14-year-old shot in the hand that are just running around downtown without any adult supervision what-so-ever.” Major Harold Turner said. “So the big question is ‘where are the parents,’ and that is exactly what I would like to know.”

More people need to stand up to these school boards.
