Ok, so I think I'm finally happy with the configuration of my AK family of rifles, for now. It's a small, but ever growing family. (I'm thinking an AMD65, or a Yugo Underfolder is next to join...)

Thanks! I agree. You have to have at least one, traditional AK. For me, it had to be my Norinco. It just looks so good and feels so right .

If I convert another Saiga, I may go the more "modern" route, but since I currently only own one AK, I keep her dressed in red.

Romanian WUM-1, 7.62 x 39. These early imports (1997) are some seriously well-made Romys! Picked this up on a trade. The guy was in the process of sanding the stock to stain it. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or sell/ trade. If I keep it, I'll probably go with a plum stain.

Definitly keep it. Get a regular stock and a pistol grip and make this baby look nice. Oh, and just so you'll know, if you don't already. It has the SVD type of scope rail. Something to keep in mind if you want to add optics.
