I saw a video, Fri., afternoon .....

A "second" shooter at the concert .....

He was on the ground,

wearing a "security" reflective vest, and was firing into the crowd .....

I do NOT have a link, or know where this video originated .....

Sorry, I couldn't help that. There are so many conspiracy theories, unqualified rumors, and even Fox News drawing unwarranted conclusions from facts that I'm relying on the Clark County Sheriff's briefings. The shooter's alleged airplane tail number that was spun into Obama being behind the shooting is an example of the Fake News conspiracy theories out there. Another is finding a cell phone charger in the hotel room that couldn't be mated to any electronic device found there proving there was an accomplice. Likelihood of having been left behind by a prior occupant and not discovered until the room and its contents were completely disassembled piece by piece is quite high. At this point it doesn't mean much except that it's suffering separation anxiety from missing its mate.

The female cabby video shows the gap really well . Trying to chock it up to "fog of war / sound echos " but I don't believe it to the case .

I agree with your edit. By the same token, hundreds of people flocked to Manhattan Beach Pier (So. California) and similar public locations along the ocean to watch for the tsunami every time a warning was issued. Before there are snide remarks, people in Indiana would do it too.

Regarding the videos, there are four distinct audio effects and cell phone mics are not the best:

• Supersonic "sonic boom" cracks from bullets passing by
• Bullet impacts on pavement surfaces
• Muzzle reports
• Echoes of muzzle reports from other high-rise buildings

Regarding the echoes, those who have been in urban canyons with contemporary International Style construction high rises that have high glass ratio exteriors can attest to the echoes that occur. The glass accentuates it as it's much less absorptive than other surfaces. The result can be recordings that sound as if there are multiple shooters when a single round is causing two or three popping sounds.

Regarding the delay between volleys, it's easily explained with jammed rifles (known fact) requiring picking up another, movement to the other window, or having to rummage about for another magazine of the correct caliber. I'm not convinced he was practiced at clearing jams, magazine changes or having the loaded magazines organized as well as he might have. IMO the most likely are jammed rifles and alternating windows. Remember that he built platforms at the windows.

I'm not seeing much in these recordings to present compelling evidence of a second shooter.

It is the age we live in. I have had a smart phone for 8 years and i "know" that I have made two videos.

They also make a 5 round clip for the garand. I had about 50 8 round clips for mine. I asked at a gun show I f they had any high capacity Garand clips and the woman replied "they're magazines" and said they didn't have any there but they could get them for me.

Forgive me for misreading the original post and seeing the ping as a ninth bang. Yes, I have owned several Garands and fired more than a few. Put it down to a 10 hour drive yesterday.

I can't help but wonder if this guy killed previously without thus far being connected to any other event(s). With what's being revealed it would appear his disconnect from society happened well before last Sunday.
